Extension Kampot and Kep with the Cambodia complete tour
Day 15: Phnom Penh – Kampot

Day 16: Kampot (B,L)
After breakfast in the hotel we will depart for Bokor Hill Station. This old abandoned city is built on a plateau around 1 km. above sea level. The city was built by the French around 19.20. Although today there is a big hotel and casino built on the plateau, there are still a couple of nice spots to wander through and see the old buildings. We will visit the old church, old casino and the water tower which have been preserved at the top of the plateau.
After we are finished here we will return back to Kampot and enjoy our lunch before you leave with your guide to a small government project. We will have an opportunity to help with the local people to plan new Mangrove trees. We first will board a small boat to go down river and will arrive at a bamboo hut on the banks of the sea. Here we will receive several baby mangrove trees to plant in the sea. Not only a great memory to take home but you are also helping to bring the mangrove forest back to her original state. After the planting is finished, we will take the boat back up river to our hotel.
Hotel: The colums
Day 17 Kampot – Kep (B,L)
After breakfast our guide will meet you in the lobby to go to the boat pier where we take a boat to Rabbit Island. This is a very small Island located on the area of Kep. Today we have time to relax on relatively peaceful beaches to unwind from the holiday. The Island is small enough to walk to different beaches for the ultimate in exploration and relaxation. The small wooden huts on the beach server simple food, excellent shakes or cold beer to complete the feeling of a truly wonderful holiday.
After the inclusive lunch you have the option to stay on the Island or return back to the mainland. If you decide to go back to Kep right after lunch than you will have time to, with the guide, to see a small temple that is known as the oldest temple in Cambodia en is built into a cave. Phnom Chhnork is a small climb but you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Kep and the surrounding area. In the later part of the afternoon, return back to the hotel.
