Trekking Tours starting from Chiang Mai

General Information:

Our one day trekking tours will provide allow you to see how the daily lives of the hill tribes. For these tours, everyone can join and you do not need to be in great physical shape.

Four out multi day trekking tours, we will be walking through dense jungle and paths that the local population also uses and can be quite muddy. One needs to be reasonable fit to do these tours and if you are uncertain we advise that you visit your local physician in your country.

Our accommodation will be with a host family in the village and sleeping arrangements will be on a sleeping mat. Temperatures can vary according to the seasons. From November until February (high season – winter) the weather is not to warm in the day, little or no rain and cool at night time. From March to June is the summer where it will be very hot in the daytime but not to many tourists. From July to September is the rainy season, temperatures can be hot and humid and trekking can be hard if there is a very hard tropical shower. During this period everything is beautiful and green and spectacular waterfalls.

 

What to bring.

Sleeping bag in the winter or sheet bag in the summer, Mosquito net only for the 4 day tour, the 2 and 3 day tours this is already supplied. Small backpack, T-shirt, short and long pants, towel or sarong, pair of sockes, long sleeve shirt, pair of slippers or shoes, swimsuit, soap, shampoo, toothbrush/past, mosquito spray, sun cream, flash light, 2 liters of drinking water for the first day (this can be bought at our first stop) hat or cap, small first aid kit and a toilet roll.

Extra in Rainy Season (June – October) = Raincout and Hiking Boots.

Extra in Cold Season (November – February) = Jack and warm pants.

Please be advised that all camera equipment, and personal documents, should be in a waterproof container or bag, sometimes the rains can be intense.

Please do not bring large dominations of currency, these can be difficult to change. For health reasons of the children of the villages we strongly do not recommend that you bring sweet treats for the children, a donation to the school in the village would be greatly appreciated.
